This comprehensive course has been designed to offer airway reinforcement to anesthesia providers and provide essential evidenced-based knowledge and technical skills to manage anticipated and unanticipated difficult airways. Instructional methods will include both didactic lectures and hands-on practice at fully equipped simulation stations. The course will reinforce simple and effective airway algorithms for the difficult airway and tips on successful utilization of advanced airway tools.
Join us for an incredible hands-on experience at the Difficult Airway Workshop! This immersive training will cover essential airway management techniques, including fiberoptic intubation, intubating LMA, surgical airway/cricothyrotomy, and ultrasound-guided airway visualization. Participants will also gain hands-on practice with the Aintree tube changer, bougie, and video laryngoscopy, ensuring they leave with the confidence and skills needed to manage even the most challenging airways.
ICU Nurses are welcome to attend the 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. session on Mock Emergent Bedside Intubation at no charge.
Lecturer:
Michael Scully, DNP, CRNA, MSN, MHS, LTC USAR (retired)
Adjunct Faculty Member at Villanova University, Nurse Anesthesia Program, Simulation Lab
The Spring Meeting is pending AANA approval for 6 CEU credits.
RNs will receive a certificate of attendance for 1 CEU credit for self-reporting.
