What is a Nurse Anesthestist?

A Nurse Anesthetist is a registered nurse that undergoes intense training to become nationally certified as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). CRNAs stay with their patients for the entire procedure, constantly monitoring every important body function and individually modifying the anesthetic to ensure maximum safety and comfort.

 CRNAs: Providing safe and quality anesthesia care for Americans for over 150 years.

• Nurse Anesthetists administer approximately 45 million anesthetics given to patients each year.
• According to a 1999 Institute of Medicine Report; anesthesia is nearly 50 times safer than it was 20 years ago!
